My name is Crystal Nix and I love my family and photography. I am a mother to four children under the age of 7 and LOVE IT! Also, a wife to Marine helicopter pilot; whom I like to think is pretty awesome! In my mind family and photography goes together. I have always been somewhat of a photographer. Since I was in middle school I was the one that always had the camera and took tons of pictures every where I went. I still do this today with my family. I just feel that this life moves so quickly and I have to capture it before the moment is gone forever.
How did I get started in photography? Well like I said I've always loved it and my neighbor Tess (http://www.thereasagwinn.comi>) is a wonderful photographer helped get my on the right course. I asked her to give me some pointers and she did a great job, because believe me I spent tons of time reading technical books and didn't get what they were saying one bit. After her little crash course, off I went practicing and learning on my children and anything that wouldn't run away from me. Then of course I started begging my friends to let me photograph them and I found that I really enjoyed catching those precious moments on film for others.
So here I am following my dream and capturing life as it passes by, so I like to think I am helping preserve a little bit of history for the people of my community.
